2022 Amateur Championship

The 2022 Hilton Head Island Amateur Golf Association Amateur Championship will be contested this year over 36 holes of medal play at the phenominal, new, Jack Nicklaus layout at Riverton Pointe Golf and Country Club in Hardeeville, SC.  There will be an all gross championship division and a senior division, both gross and net.  Championship tees will be set at approximately 7,000 yards and the senior division tees at approximately 6,400 yards.

As always, there will be Honors Cup points awarded to the top twenty places with the Champion receiving an automatic berth.  The Championship winner and runner-up will receive Tournament plaques and the Champions name will be placed on our perennial trophy.  The Senior Division gross winner and net winner will also receive tournament plaques.  This year we are also presenting the Champion, Senior Champion and Senior net Champion with a certificate for a round of golf for four at this prestigious venue.  As well, all place winners will receive certificates for pro-shop merchandise.  Number of places paid is dependant on number of players in each division.

Tee times and pairings will be posted September 26th and final results from the event, along with honors cup points will be posted the day after the tournament concludes. Tee times will begin at 12:00 both days from #1 tee.   Practice rounds will be available the week before at a rate of $75 by calling Gary Otto, Director of Golf at (843) 645-5556.  The field is limited to fifty so don't delay, register and send your check today, you don't want to miss this year's Amateur Championship at this prestigious venue.  If you haven;t paid your $20 annual membership dues yet, don;t forget to include it with your check.  Checks should be made payable to Hilton Head Island Amateur Golf Association (HHIAGA) and mailed to :
