Hilton Head Island Amateur Championship
This years HHIAGA Amateur Championship will be contested at Bear Creek Golf Club on June 21 and 22. As always there will be championship division, senior division ( approximately 6,000 yds. ) and flighted divisions ( 6,400 - 6,500 ). This is the first year the championship division will be contested over 54 holes. 36 holes on Saturday and the final 18 holes on Sunday--------no cut! Senior and all other divisions will play 36 holes; 18 on Saturday and 18 on Sunday.Practice rounds can be secured the week before by calling the pro-shop at (843)-681-2667 on an availability basis and a cost of $40.00. Only players registered and paid to play in the event are eligible for this rate.
There will be gift certificates awarded to all divisions. Number of places paid is dependant on number of players in each division. Winner of championship division will have his name engraved on trophy.
A buffet luncheon will be served following play on Sunday in conjunction with the awards ceremony.
We are extremely fortunate and grateful to have our winning champion from the championship division receive an automatic berth in the Players Championship, one of the most prestigious annual amateur events in the nation. Thank you!
